Mac OS X Mountain Lion

Apple did a fine job of refining the dock, Safari, iCloud features, and security features. Mountain lion takes more advantage of Apple hardware, I do believe. I am currently running Mountain lion on a 2011 21.5 inch iMac. I also have it running on a 2009MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro, although old, is very capable and should be able to take advantage of AirPlay. On my iMac, airplay works wonderfully. I am still having issues using the trackpad. When in use, sometimes the computer will not pick up clicks. I am on second trackpad. Thus to my conclusion, it is a software error. Although downloading this new operating system was convenient, I still would rather have a DVD copy for backup and restore purposes. In my opinion, the dictation feature is by far the most handy. This entire paragraph, with the exception of a few words here and there that needed correction, has been written using the dictation feature. Although I do not find the notification Center handy or helpful, I do believe with more app integration it will find more use.

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard For Free Download

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is Apple's first major operating system upgrade sinceTiger more than two years ago. The changes include more than 300 new features, which, while not earth-shattering, further streamline the experience of using a Mac.

Should you pay for Leopard? If you're happy with the way Tiger works, then maybe not. If you need Bootcamp, however, then you must have Leopard. And if you're considering the purchase of a new computer, Leopard makes Macs more enticing than Tiger did. Plus, Leopard makes it far easier to find documents and applications than Windows Vista. Leopard's interface niceties made the daily mechanics of using the computer more pleasurable.

OSNews reviews Apple's latest OS upgrade. Is it an overpriced, glorified point release or a truly worthy upgrade with major new functionality? Is it a Longhorn killer or just more of the same? We'll take a look, and try to see what's on the surface as well as what's under the hood.First, a disclosure: I'm a dedicated fan of Mac OS X, though a daily user of a Windows desktop and Linux server. My personal machine, a 1.25 GHz 15" Powerbook with 1 GB of RAM, is the seventh Powerbook I've owned. Just as I have enjoyed the highs (2300c, current 15" Aluminum) and lows (5300) of the Powerbook line, I've done the same with the Mac OS. I was one of the many Mac users who was losing patience with the old Mac OS, which had gone downhill since version 7.6, and was very excited about OS X, only to be a bit disappointed with its real-world quirks. But, just as it's a really good time to be a long-time Apple stockholder today, it's a really good time to be a Mac user.
